RediDraft™'s story begins in 1991 when a lawyer at an Atlanta law firm envisioned a better way to create documents. That vision became FastDraft, a pioneering document assembly application that revolutionized how legal professionals worked. Under the leadership of Jan (Malone) DeSalvo at Interactive Professional Software and later Valeo Software, FastDraft expanded beyond legal to serve professionals across industries.
When Tim Owensby joined as CTO in 1996, the collaboration between Jan's strategic vision and Tim's technical expertise opened new possibilities. FastDraft proved its versatility in remarkable ways, including powering automated voice capture systems for medical examiner offices—demonstrating the software's adaptability beyond traditional document creation.
After Valeo Software's closure in 2004, our team continued supporting FastDraft's loyal user base through multiple Windows generations. Rather than abandoning these users, we made a commitment to keep their critical business tools running. In 2010, facing the end of Windows XP support, we modernized the application as RediDraft™, ensuring continuity for users who had relied on the software for nearly two decades.
